Eucalyptus pauciflora

snow gum, white sallee (or sally)

A small to medium sized tree growing to 30m in lowland areas. The alpine variety, E.p. niphophila, only reaches 15m. Bark is smooth and mottled, white, grey or yellowish in colour. White flowers in spring and summer.


origin	NSW, ACT, Vic, Tas, Qld.
cultural notes	Requires well drained soils in a sunny position. In cold areas the bark develops patches of orange, red, yellow and olive green.
tolerates	Drought, frost and snow tolerant.
flowering season	Spring and Summer.
flower colour	White flowers occur in clusters, from club-shaped buds. Fruit are cup-shaped.
foliage colour	The adult foliage is thick and leathery, blue-grey to olive-green, lanceolate to 16cm in length. Juvenile foliage is weeping and ovate.
width	up to 20m
height	up to 30m
plant spacing	500cm apart
recommended uses	A beautiful tree for gardens or as a street tree. Bee attractant.
