Description: A smaller variety of Eucalyptus mannifera, growing to 8m in height with a round canopy and more pronounced mottling on the bark. Grey-green foliage and small white flowers in summer and autumn.
Origin: Cultivar.
Cultural notes: Adaptable to most soils provided they are free draining. Prefers an open and sunny position. Wildlife attractant.
Tolerates: Tolerant of frost, drought and poor soils.
Flowering type and season: Summer and autumn although the flowering season can differ depending on the climate. Clusters of small white flowers from green club-shaped buds. The fruit is dark brown, with three valved capsules.
Foliage type and colour: Grey-green lanceolate leaves, prominently veined, to 12cm in length.
Soil type: Well-Draining, moist soil preferred. Is tolerant of most soil types and pH levels, being tolerant of poor soils.
Width: Up to 4m
Height: Up to 8m
Recommended uses: An attractive tree whose smaller size makes it ideal for smaller gardens. Very hardy. Care must be taken as to its placement due to its tendency to drop branches unpredictably.
