Project description: This is a major Revegetation and rehabilitation project on the Molonglo River Nature reserve. Working within endangered ecological communities and Pink Tailed Worm Lizard habitat restoration.  For the past 4 years, we have been heavily involved in multiple, large scale ACT Government projects within the Molonglo NES plan (such as Barrer Restoration, Patch K, Molonglo revegetation, SPR, Patch N, Patch C and H). The region contains zones that support significant vegetation communities, flora and fauna species and the Molonglo River has a varying community of native and exotic plants – the bed and bank vegetation is quite dynamic in its composition and extent as it responds to disturbance by seasonal flow and storm events.

In this project, Provincial brings our expertise with working on endangered ecological communities – in this case, the EPBC listed community White Box – Yellow Box – Blakely’s Gum grassy woodlands and derived grasslands and potential habitat for the Pink Tailed Legless Lizard (Aprasia parapulchella). The project involves seed collection, propagation and supply. Installation and maintenance of 4000 indigenous species over 3 Nature Reserve Sites took place. We are creating new habitat, improving soil and air quality and providing recreational opportunities. Provincial also maintains Annual and Perennial Weed Control.
