Origin: NSW, QLD, WA, SA, TAS, VIC, ACT

Cultural notes: Full sun, boggy conditions, fast growing, long lived, very hardy.

Maintenance: May be pruned annually to remove old foliage.

Tolerates: Inundations and periodic dry periods.

Flowering season: Spring to autumn.

Flower colour: Brown clustered flower spikes.

Foliage colour: Dark green, rough textured and sharp edge leaf blades.

Height: Up to 1m

Water depth: Aquatic to 0.25m

Plant spacing: 50cm apart

Recommended uses: Ornamental sedge used in constructed wetlands and provides habitat for water birds. May be used for poolside plantings.
