Cultural notes: Hardy and fast growing. Prefers well drained soils in an open, sunny position.
Maintenance: Can be tip pruned to maintain bushy growth. Can be susceptible to scale.
Tolerates: Frost and drought tolerant. Suitable for tropical conditions.
Flowering season: Inconspicuous flowers in spring, followed by conspicuous fruits in summer.
Flower colour: The flowers are yellowish-green but are inconspicous. Fruit are attractive green winged seed capsules that dry to a papery brown colour.
Foliage colour: Glossy green leaves that have a sticky texture. Oval in shape, generally broader at the tip than the stem.

Plant spacing: 150cm apart
Recommended uses: Attractive and hardy shrub useful for screening and hedges or as a container plant.
Description: An erect, fast growing shrub occassionally growing as tall as 5m. Attractive glossy green sticky leaves and winged seed capsules on the female plants are a feature of this species.
