Description: Typically grows to a medium-sized tree with a height of 10-15 m. Will form a lignotuber at the base of the tree. This tree has smooth, white and grey bark that sheds in long narrow strips. Has glossy light green foliage.

Origin: NSW, Queensland

Cultural notes: Found in a few mountain ranges in between New South Wales and Queensland, often growing in clefts on large granite filled woodland areas, typically in high altitudes. Prefers full sun.

Tolerates: Manages heat and dry conditions as well as urban compaction.

Flowering type and season: Flowers are a white oval or pear shape, growing to 4-5mm long and 3-4mm wide. They’re known to flower in and around November. The fruits are a woody cup-shaped capsule that grows to 3-5mm long and 4-6mm wide.

Foliage type and colour: The foliage is a glossy green on both sides, linear to lance-shaped or curved.

Soil type: This tree can withstand very poor gravelly soils.
