Description: A medium-sized deciduous tree with a round-shaped canopy and a uniform branch structure. This species gives a beautiful array of autumnal colours ranging from yellows, reds, and burgundy. The foliage will stay on the tree well into the season, making it a perfect feature.
Origin: North America.
Cultural notes: Prefers full sun. When planting water in well and keep the soil moist until tree is established. Pruning can encourage new growth.
Tolerates: Is tolerant of wind and drought as well as urban conditions. Is tolerant to frost.
Flowering type and season: Insignificant, yellow-green flowers. Flowers in spring.
Foliage type and colour: Foliage is green, sprouting later in Spring and turning yellows, reds and burgundy through Autumn. Won’t fall until late into the season.
Soil type: Prefers well-draining, moist soil. Humus rich soil is preferred.
