Description: A deciduous tree with a round to conically shaped canopy. This tree is known for its strong and straight trunk which begins a colour of ashy brown, developing deep grooves throughout its maturity. Its foliage is a dark green which fades to stunning yellow bronze colour in the autumn.
Origin: Eastern North America.
Cultural notes: Prefers full sun to part shade. Water well when establishing the tree. Fertilize when planting and prune when planting to encourage new growth.
Tolerates: Has a high amount of frost tolerance and can tolerate some drought.
Flowering type and season: Yellow-green flowers are present throughout Spring.
Foliage type and colour: A glossy dark green through spring and summer, turning yellow to bronze throughout autumn.
Soil type: Prefers a soil that is rich in humus and has high moister. Can tolerate many soil conditions.

Height: Up to 15m
Recommended uses: Streetscapes or avenues, parkland and larger yard areas are suitable for this tree. Not recommended for use along creeks, waterways or nature reserves.
