Cultural notes: Full sun, boggy conditions, fast-growing, long-lived, very hardy.

Maintenance: Can be pruned annually to remove old foliage.

Tolerates: Inundations and periodic dry periods.

Flowering season: Spring to autumn.

Flower colour: Brown branching clustered, 5cm from the leaf tip.

Foliage colour: Dark green with golden brown tinge at the base of stems, cylindrical leaves.

Height: Up to 1m

Water depth: Aquatic to 0.25m

Plant spacing: 30cm apart

Recommended uses: Great for stabilising dam and river banks, ideal for decorative ponds, provides habitat for waterbirds.
