Description: This deciduous tree is known for its stunning array of flower coverage. Large amounts of white to pink flowers bloom in spring, covering the tree, these have a mild fragrance. This tree will grow round, providing some good shade, a perfect feature tree for smaller gardens or containers.

Origin: North America.

Cultural notes: Prefers full sun, good for attracting native birds or insects. Water in well and keep moist until established. This tree will create large amounts of litter, beware of planting near waterways.

Tolerates: Tolerates some frost and drought.

Flowering type and season: Huge amounts of flower coverage over springtime. White to pink colouring, these flowers have a mild fragrance.

Foliage type and colour: Foliage is a bright green with serrated edges, turns deep reds and oranges through autumn before falling.

Soil type: Prefers well-draining soil and will do poorly with waterlogged soils. Soil should be slightly acidic, doesn’t tolerate high acidity.
