Description: This is a large-sized deciduous tree native to North America. The canopy grows in a wide dome shape with a short trunk, making this a fantastic shade creator. This tree is adaptable to a large range of environments. The Swamp Oak has bright green leaves, grey bark and will also produce acorns.
Origin: North America.
Cultural notes: Full sun to part shade preferred. This tree is not usually affected by pests or diseases.
Tolerates: Once established will have some tolerance to drought. Tolerant to waterlogging.
Flowering type and season: Will produce fruit acorns.
Foliage type and colour: Foliage is bright green and is a large oval shape. In autumn, the leaves will turn yellow and red-tinted browns.
Soil type: Prefers well-draining soil. Acidic pH level is preferred. Will not adapt to alkaline soil.

Recommended uses: A great tree for parklands and Urban landscapes. Larger gardens are preferred due to their size and spread.
